Key Features of the AFRICAN DEVELOPMENT BANK YOUNG PROFESSIONALS PROGRAM 2025:
1. Rotational Assignments
• Each participant completes three rotations across different Bank complexes.
• The first rotation aligns with your core skills and academic background.
• The second rotation challenges participants to explore new functions or regional operations.
• The third rotation facilitates transition and integration, typically leading to placement in a permanent role.
2. Capacity Development

Requirements/ Eligibility criteria
Applicants must meet the following minimum eligibility requirements to qualify for the African Development Bank Young Professionals Program (YPP) 2025:
1. Citizenship: Must be a national of an AfDB member country.
2. Age: Must be 32 years or younger by November 30, 2025.
3. Education: Must hold a Master’s degree or equivalent in a discipline relevant to the Bank’s mission (Economics, Finance, Development Studies, Business Administration, Engineering, Environment, International Relations, etc.).
4. Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ post-graduate professional experience in fields aligned with the Bank’s Ten-Year Strategy and Four Cardinal Points.
5. Experience in Africa: Demonstrated hands-on experience on the African continent or in developing regions.
6. Commitment: Proven passion for Africa’s development and a desire to make a tangible impact.
7. Competencies: Strong skills in teamwork, negotiation, leadership, strategic thinking, communication, and project management.
8. Technical Skills: High proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of SAP systems is an added advantage.
9. Language: Excellent communication skills in English or French, with a working knowledge of the other language preferred.
10. Mobility: Willingness to relocate to Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, and travel across the continent as required.
11. Digital Mindset: Ability to work effectively in a digital, data-driven environment and adapt to technological evolution.
