Kent Law School, one of the UK’s most internationally recognized law faculties, offers this prestigious scholarship to support talented overseas students pursuing a taught LLM at the Canterbury Campus. The initiative reflects the University of Kent’s dedication to diversity and inclusion, welcoming applicants from developing and emerging economies across Asia, Africa, the Americas, and beyond
This fund is open to students from countries such as India, Nigeria, Thailand, Kenya, Brazil, China, Turkey, and many more, aiming to create a truly global classroom where future leaders in law exchange ideas and cultures.

The Kent Law School LLM Global Welcome Scholarship provides a £2,500 tuition fee discount for the January 2026 intake. This financial support helps ease tuition costs for self-funded students and allows them to focus fully on their academic journey without the burden of additional financial strain.

Requirements/ Eligibility Criteria

You must meet all of the following conditions:

Applicants must hold a valid passport demonstrating nationality of a country receiving ODA funding from the OECD. A full list of countries can be found on the OECD website
Be classified by the University of Kent as an overseas student for tuition fee purposes
Be fully self-funding your studies
To have applied for the taught Kent LLM at the Canterbury Campus of the University of Kent for entry in January 2026
To have accepted an offer of a place on the taught LLM by the scholarship application deadline
Submit a scholarship application (details below) by the scholarship application deadline (please note that we are unable to consider applicants for the award without an application)
