The Arizona State University Mastercard Foundation Innovation and Technology Scholarships 2025 represent a groundbreaking and time-sensitive opportunity for talented young African leaders who are eager to shape the future through technology, innovation, and transformative leadership. This fully funded program, offered in partnership between Arizona State University (ASU) and the Mastercard Foundation, is designed to provide exceptional students from across Africa with access to world-class education, practical skills, and global networks—at zero cost to them.
With two distinct pathways—on-campus master’s degrees at ASU in the United States and online graduate degrees supported in-person at Kepler College in Rwanda—this program ensures flexibility and accessibility for scholars regardless of location. Over the next six years (2025–2030), 280 graduate scholarships will be awarded, split between 120 on-campus and 160 online hybrid opportunities.
For the 2025/2026 academic year, there are only 30 on-campus spots and 40 online hybrid spots available, making this a truly limited-offer, act-fast situation for those who aspire to join a network of visionary problem-solvers dedicated to addressing Africa’s most pressing challenges in technology, sustainable development, education, and entrepreneurship.
Recipients will not only receive full tuition coverage, but also funding for visa fees, airfare, accommodation, medical insurance, books, and living expenses. Additional benefits include structured leadership development, mentorship from industry experts, career readiness programs, and for on-campus scholars, a two-month internship in Africa between their first and second year.
ASU, consistently ranked among the most innovative universities in the United States, will equip scholars with the technical expertise, leadership mindset, and global exposure needed to drive significant change. The program also provides an inclusive learning environment, integrating academic rigor with hands-on experiences to prepare scholars for leadership roles in both the public and private sectors.
Applicants are encouraged to apply immediately—as the deadline is fast approaching—to secure their spot in this prestigious, life-changing scholarship program. Whether you aim to revolutionize Africa’s tech ecosystem, advance clean energy solutions, harness big data for social good, or transform education through learning technologies, this scholarship is your fast-track to global impact.
