BCPNP entrepreneur draw sets 119 minimum score for 10 new invites

10 New Invites Issued in Latest BCPNP Entrepreneur Draw

On September 22, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program issued no fewer than 10 invitations to apply for provincial nomination through its Entrepreneur Immigration category. Foreign nationals aiming to establish or acquire a business in the province faced a minimum score threshold of 119 across both selection streams.

Base and Regional Streams Target Foreign Business Owners

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program distributed the majority of these invitations through its Base Stream, alongside selections made via the Regional Stream. Candidates who cleared the 119-point cutoff and receive official nomination approval will be issued a work permit support letter, enabling them to apply directly to the federal government for a work permit.

Nominees who fulfill the terms of their business performance agreement can become eligible for a Bridging Open Work Permit after submitting their permanent residence application. Under a temporary federal measure introduced on June 9, 2026, base PNP nominees applying for permanent residence can secure this bridging permit months sooner by bypassing the requirement to first receive an Acknowledgement of Receipt for their application.
